Seniors Information

Senior Division

The minimum age to play in the Senior Division is 55

The New Year’s Invitational has recognized the lowest scoring senior player since 1983.  The format has changed several times over the intervening years, culminating in a Senior Division, as presently constituted, in 2009.  Many players with fine amateur records have won our senior division, including 2023 champion Michael Kelley, who won with a rain-shortened score of 139.

The Tournament

The minimum age for eligibility in the Senior Division is 55.  This year’s senior field will be initially limited to 16 players, however some additional spots could be available for strong senior entrants.  Seniors will play from the middle(white) tees.

The entry fee of $425 includes 3 tournament rounds, January 4-6, and practice round January 3rd.  Arrangements for an alternate practice round date may be made by contacting our pro shop at 727-864-1595.  Buffet breakfasts and on-course refreshments will be provided each day.

The senior champion will receive a crystal award.  He and other top senior finishers will receive merchandise prizes.  These will be awarded Saturday following completion of play.
